🇱🇹🇵🇱🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Big News finding 4G Grandfather Kopel Moritz. I was watching a show on TV, The Reluctant Traveler With Eugene Levy, Scotland visit and his mothers family was Jewish immigrants from Poland. I have found limited information on a similar relative in my mom's family. In the show , there is a researcher in Glasgow who specialized in Jewish research.. So I looked him up and he immediately replied. He pulled Kopel Moritz’s naturalization papers for me. He found him! Kopel was born on 22 March 1834 in the town of Kalwaryi , Suwalki Gubernia, ‘Poland’ (Russian Empire) which is now Kalvarija in Lithuania. He served in the Indian Navy of the United Kingdom from 1858 to 1868 and received a pension for that service. Also on JewishGen there are a few records for a PALNICKI family from Kalvarija. This is a huge breakthrough for my family. We have a town and names... now I have something else to see in Europe. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇵🇱 ... See MoreSee Less

Pioneer Ancestry? Wow, who knew? My maternal 5th Gp Lettuce [what a name!] and Wm Cullimore traveled from England in a ship and then covered wagon with the Robert F. Neslen Company June 1859 and were buried in Pleasant Grove, UT ... and this is news to me :)

So many memories and details positive and critical to read ... I plucked the positive leaves {Lettuce} and admire their faith and grit! Check out your possible links !www.familysearch.org/campaign/pioneers ... See MoreSee Less

I took a trip to the Rexburg FamilySearch Center this week and scanned photos, over 500 in about 2 hours! This Epson bulk feeder scanner is free to use and you can save the scanned folder on your online drive (they have super fast Internet connection ) or a manual thumb drive instantly ! Now that I’m used to it I think it will be faster… and now we can share it with our family! Go try it yourself or let’s go together 🙂

Such a deal! The scanner would cost about $300-500 and there are photo scanning services that run about 40 cents a photo to do it for you. I want my family to see visual proof that there were great times in our past ! ... See MoreSee Less

How awesome. I live in Rexburg and still haven’t gone there yet. I’m happy you were able to get so much important work done.
